Trip Overview
A four - day trek is the shortest itinerary of Mardi Himal. The trek starts at just a twenty-five-minute flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, then drive to Dhampus village to start walking through Gurung village, where you can experience some local culture, trekking through lush forest and dramatic mountain range all the way to Mardi himal base camp and panoramic views of Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, fishtail, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu range and many more other peaks with beautiful landscape and many other things can experience within 10 days’ time.
Mardi Himal trek is the best chance to experience trekking in the Himalaya who have very limited time to trek in Nepal and achieve above 4000 meters. January to May, in spring, and October to December in the Autumn season, is the best time to trek in the Mardi Himal. Even March–April is especially more beautiful with different colors of the Rhododendron flower (national flower of Nepal).
Special package cost for shortest mardi himal trek is USD 740 to USD 1080 per person, depending on the number of pax booked. The Mardi Himal trek cost includes almost all necessary things, like trekking permit, Annapurna conservation fee, Mardi Himal entry fee, guide cost, porter cost, local transportation service, lodging and food during the trekking, Kathmandu - Pokhara - Kathmandu flight.

Itineraries
Day 01
Arrival in Kathmandu
A representative from Guide for Nepal Pvt. Ltd. will heartily welcome to you in Tribhuvan international (TIA) airport 1370 meter from sea level in any time of your arrival and help you transfer to hotel at Thamel. Kathmandu is capital city of Nepal and it is normally busy during the day. It is about 15-25 minutes’ drive from airport to Thamel. It depends on your arrival time and traffic. You might have some time to explore Thamel or visit some important place in Kathmandu city and final preparation for Trekking from next day.
Day 02
Kathmandu – Pokhara – Pitam Deurali
After breakfast in your hotel, you will go to domestic airport with guide by private vehicle to catch domestic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara which take normally 25 minutes. There is golden opportunity to see magnificent view of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Annapurna range during Kathmandu – Pokhara flight in clear weather. Our jeep driver will pick up from Pokhara regional international airport and drop to Dhampus phedi, which is about 30 minute drive from Pokhara regional international airport. we start our trek and walking throw Dhampus village – Pothana to reach Pitam Deurali 2050 meter. It will be 3-4 hours trek including lunch break on the way.
Day 3
Pitam Deurali to Low Camp
From Pitam Deurali to Low camp 2970 meter is trekking throw mixed and rhododendron forest all the time. Lunch break will be in forest camp or suitable place. It is almost 900-meter ascent from Pitam Deurali to low camp normally need 5-7 hours in average.
Day 4
Low Camp to High Camp
After breakfast Trek continue to uphill until Badal Dada. Badal Dada is first best view point in Mardi Himal trek. You will have beautiful 360-degree view including Annapurna South, Himchuli, Mardi Himal, fishtail and other peaks. You probably can make short tea/coffee break and enjoy view before continue towards high camp. From Badal Dada to High camp 3660 meter is maximum 2/3 hours trek gradual and step uphill. High camp is Last tea house for overnight sleep in Mardi Himal trek. So, every one stop here even trip finish before or after lunch time. eat and drink properly, stay warm and hydrated to keep your body fit to continue Mardi Himal base camp next day early morning.
Day 5
High Camp - Mardi Base Camp – Badal Dada
Be ready early morning at mentioned time with all warm equipment, flash light, take hot water if you have hot thermos bottle with you even you can buy tea/coffee or water on the way. hike to Mardi Himal base camp 4200 meter roughly take 3-4 hours ascending about 600 meter and same way back to high camp for lunch then trek down to Badal dada. Total trip can be 6-8 hours in average.
Day 6
Badal dada – Siding - Pokhara-Kathmandu-Departure
Enjoy your last best view from Badal Dada and take breakfast before heading down to siding 1900m. it is about 1300-meter descending from Badal Dada to siding village where we can catch jeep and drive back to Pokhara. It might take 2-3 hours trek down and about 2 hours’ drive from siding to Pokhara airport and fly to Kathmandu then few hours in thamel before process to international flight in the late evening.

Mardi Himal trek is short and easy compare to other treks.
The highest altitude in Mardi Himal trek is 4200 meters.
Normally, 5-7 hours walk every day in trek.
Mostly twin bed room with common toilet, few place is sharing room.
There is no snow all the time.
January to May and October to December is the best time to go Mardi Himal trek.
Mardi Himal base camp is really good for views.
Useful Information:

- Better ask permission before taking photograph of someone during the tour.
- Better not encourage street dog to follow you/group by giving food.
- Better not encourage children to beg by giving money/candy.
- Respect local culture.
- Listen your tour Guide.
- Follow rule and regulations while you are trekking in national park/conservation area.
- Eat and drink properly, stay hydrated, read your body and listen AMS alerts while you are in the mountain/trekking.
