The best time to go mardi himal base camp and poon hill is Januay to May and October to December. March-April is specially more beautiful with Rhododendron flower the national flower of Nepal. Poon Hill and Mardi Himal trekking 14 Days cost start from USD 980 to USD 1560 to per person depending on the number of pax booked. the total cost depends on group size and service included in package trip. the total price normally includes trekking permit, Annapurna conservation fee, poon hill entry fee, mardi himal entry fee, guide cost, porter cost, local transportation service, lodging and foods during the trekking. Itineraries
Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu
A representative from Guide for Nepal Pvt. Ltd. will heartily welcome to you in Tribhuvan international (TIA) airport 1370 meter from sea level in any time of your arrival and help you transfer to hotel at Thamel. Kathmandu is capital city of Nepal and it is normally busy during the day. It is about 15-25 minutes’ drive from airport to Thamel. It depends on your arrival time and traffic. You might have some time to explore Thamel or visit some important place in Kathmandu city and final preparation for Trekking from next day.
Day 02

Kathmandu to Pokhara
After breakfast in your hotel, you will start your journey to Pokhara 820 meter as per planned. It takes about 6-8 hours by tourist bus or private vehicle to reach Pokhara. It depends on road condition and traffic even Kathmandu to Pokhara is just 200 km far in road distance. all the tourist buses leave at 7 am from near Thamel. Flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara takes about 25 minutes and flight is available from 8:30 AM onwards hole day by few different domestic airlines. We have designed this program taking plane for time saving, comfort journey and especially beautiful scenery from plan. Pokhara is one of the most popular touristic places in Nepal. There are some nice places to visit in Pokhara if you have a free time. Panoramic view of hole Annapurna range, fishtail, Lamjung Himal is visible from your hotel at lakeside.
Day 3

Pokhara to Ulleri Village
After your breakfast at hotel, guide will arrange private jeep/car and Drive to Nayapul about one and half hours then Trek to Ulleri village 1960-meter 6/7 hours. Trek from Nayapul to ulleri walk throw local village following bhurundi khola after crossing modi khola and Annapurna conservation area check post at birethati. You can make your lunch break somewhere on the way.
Day 4

Ulleri Village to Ghorepani
Trek starts after breakfast as usual and from Ulleri village to Ghorepani 2860-meter walking 4-5 hours passing Banthati then walking throw mixed and rhododendron forest. Most of the trail is some step up and gradually uphill all the way to Ghorepani about 900-meter ascent in total.
Day 5

Ghorepani – Poon hill - Tadapani
Today you have to wake up early morning to see sunrise view and mountains view from poon hill 3210 meter. It takes 45 minutes to 1 hours all the way steps up to poon hill from ghorepani. After poon hill you back to hotel for breakfast and packing bag then trek to Tadapani 2630-meter walking 5-6 hours some ascending and descending throw mixed, rhododendron forest in step narrow trail.
Day 6

Tadapani to Ghandruk Village
Today is very short and easy Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk village 1960-meter walking only 2-3 hours throw rhododendron and some mixed forest descending about 650-meter. You will finish your trek to Ghandruk village before lunch. Hole after noon can take rest/relax and short walk around Ghandruk village.
Day 7

Ghandruk to Forest Camp
Trek from Ghandruk village to forest camp 2550-meter is about 5-6 hours descending 400-500-meter to cross modi khola bridge and ascent about 1050-meter to reach forest camp. Trek starts after breakfast passing ghandruk village and landruk village then continue throw mixed forest until forest camp. Lunch break might be in landruk village or in other place on the way.
Day 8

Forest Camp to Badal Dada
Trek from forest camp to Badal danda 3200-meter take 4/5 hours slowly continue walking uphill throw rhododendron forest. Today’s total ascent is almost 650-meter and low camp will be better place for lunch break. Badal dada is first best view point in mardi Himal trek. You will have beautiful 360-degree view including Annapurna south, himchuli, mardi Himal, fishtail and other peaks.
Day 9

Badal Dada to High Camp
From Badal Dada to High camp 3660 meter is very short and easy trek maximum 2/3 hours. High camp is Last tea house for overnight sleep in Mardi Himal trek. So, every one stop here even trip finish before lunch time. eat and drink properly, stay warm and hydrated to keep your body fit to continue Mardi Himal base camp next day early morning.
Day 10

High Camp - Mardi Base Camp – Badal Dada
Be ready early morning at mentioned time with all warm equipment, flash light, take hot water if you have hot thermos bottle with you even you can buy tea/coffee or water on the way. hike to Mardi Himal base camp 4200 meter roughly take 3-4 hours ascending about 600 meter and same way back to high camp for lunch then trek down to Badal dada. Total trip can be 6-8 hours in average.
Day 11

Badal Dada to Pitam Deurali
Trek from Badal dada to Pitam Deurali 2050 meter is mostly downhill same way back until forest camp where you might make tea/lunch break then continue to pitam deurali. It is about 1100-meter descent walking throw rhododendron and some mixed forest hole time which normally take 5/6 hours.
Day 12

Pitam Deurali to Pokhara
Last day Trek from Pitam Deurali to Phedi is some easy and some step downhill 3-4 hours passing throw Dhampus Village and beautiful view of Annapurna two, Annapurna four, Lamjung Himal. Manaslu range can be visible in distance. Phedi to Pokhara is about 30-minute drive and afternoon is free in Lakeside, Pokhara.
Day 13

Pokhara to Kathmandu
You can have breakfast as program and be ready to back Kathmandu on time as per planned, drive 6-8 hours or fly 25 minutes.
Day 14

Back to home
If your flight time is late afternoon or evening, you can visit some place in Kathmandu your own or if you need help, we can provide guide and vehicle on extra charge. Otherwise, be ready at hotel on time as per your flight details to catch international flight. A Representative from Guide for Nepal Pvt Ltd will arrange transportation and drop you in Tribhuvan international (TIA) airport and good bye for this time wishing safe journey back to home.

Poon Hill - Mardi Himal trek is medium hard walking lot of steps up and down.
Mardi Himal base camp 4200 meters above sea level is the highest point in Poon Hill – Mardi Himal trek.
Normally, 5-7 hours walk every day in trek.
Mostly twin bed room with common toilet, few place is sharing room.
There is no snow all the time.
January to May and October to December is the best time to go Poon Hill - Mardi Himal trek.
Poon Hill - Mardi Himal is worth for view. Similarly, Mardi Himal base camp is also beautiful place.
Useful Information:

- Make sure all gadget is ready/full charged and well dress before start birding tour.

- Better not encourage street dog to follow you/group by giving food.
