Trip Overview
Mardi Himal trek is one of the most popular trekking in Nepal chosen by thousands of trekkers and mountain lovers. Mardi Himal trek start from Kathmandu to Pokhara by flight or drive. the next day morning, trek start from Phedi, just short drive from Pokhara hotel. this trip takes you every day slowly uphill walking throw some village, forest up to Mardi Base Camp. during the trek you will have an excellent view of Annapurna range, fishtail and many other mountains. The best time to trek in Mardi Himal base camp is from January to May and September to December. But, March-April is specially more beautiful with different colors of Rhododendron flower the national flower of Nepal.
Mardi Himal Trek cost start from USD 860 to USD 1,380 per person depending on the numbers of pax booked. The Mardi Himal trekking package cost normally includes trekking permit, Annapurna conservation fee, Mardi Himal entry fee, guide fee, porter fee, local transport service, lodging and foods during the trekking. according to different cost category, Kathmandu hotel, Pokhara hotel, Kathmandu to Pokhara and Pokhara to Kathmandu transportation service also includes in price. Below is our day to day Itinerary of the Mardi Himal Trek 11 Days.
Itineraries
Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu
A representative from Guide for Nepal Pvt. Ltd. will heartily welcome to you in Tribhuvan international (TIA) airport 1370 meter from sea level in any time of your arrival and help you transfer to hotel at Thamel. Kathmandu is capital city of Nepal and it is normally busy during the day. It is about 15-25 minutes’ drive from airport to Thamel. It depends on your arrival time and traffic. You might have some time to explore Thamel or visit some important place in Kathmandu city and final preparation for Trekking from next day.
Day 02

Kathmandu to Pokhara
After breakfast in your hotel, you will start your journey to Pokhara 820 meter as per planned. It takes about 6-8 hours by tourist bus or private vehicle to reach Pokhara. It depends on road condition and traffic even Kathmandu to Pokhara is just 200 km far in road distance. all the tourist buses leave at 7 am from near Thamel. Flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara takes about 25 minutes and flight is available from 8:30 AM onwards hole day by few different domestic airlines. We have designed this program taking plane for time saving, comfort journey and especially beautiful scenery from plan. Pokhara is one of the most popular touristic places in Nepal. There are some nice places to visit in Pokhara if you have a free time. Panoramic view of hole Annapurna range, fishtail, Lamjung Himal is visible from your hotel at lakeside.
Day 3

Pokhara to Pothana
It is your first day of mardi Himal trek start after breakfast in your hotel by 7-8 AM as planned. Then drive to phedi with guide and porter then srart trek to pothana 1750-meter throw dhampus village. The trek starting is already step uphill for few hours to dhampus village. It is normally good place and just a right time to make lunch break then trek gradually up towards pothana about 4-5 hours trek in total and almost 800-meter ascent.
Day 4

Pothana to Forest Camp
Trek starts from Pothana after your breakfast then walking throw mixed forest passing Pitam Deurali and lovely hill view point. After this, trek continue uphill and some level, some up and downhill passing some tea house and dense forest. Lunch break can be in some tea house on the way and continue to forest camp 2550-meter walking 5-6 hours and ascending about 800-meter.
Day 5

Forest Camp to Badal Dada
Trek from forest camp to Badal danda 3200-meter take 4/5 hours slowly continue walking uphill throw rhododendron forest. Today’s total ascent is almost 650-meter and low camp will be better place for lunch break. Badal dada is first best view point in mardi Himal trek. You will have beautiful 360-degree view including Annapurna south, himchuli, mardi Himal, fishtail and other peaks.
Day 6

Badal Dada to High Camp
From Badal Dada to High camp 3660 meter is very short and easy trek maximum 2/3 hours. High camp is Last tea house for overnight sleep in Mardi Himal trek. So, every one stop here even trip finish before lunch time. eat and drink properly, stay warm and hydrated to keep your body fit to continue Mardi Himal base camp next day early morning.
Day 7

High Camp - Mardi Base Camp – Badal Dada
Be ready early morning at mentioned time with all warm equipment, flash light, take hot water if you have hot thermos bottle with you even you can buy tea/coffee or water on the way. hike to Mardi Himal base camp 4200 meter roughly take 3-4 hours ascending about 600 meter and same way back to high camp for lunch then trek down to Badal dada. Total trip can be 6-8 hours in average.
Day 8

Badal Dada to Pitam Deurali
Trek from Badal dada to Pitam Deurali 2050 meter is mostly downhill same way back until forest camp where you might make tea/lunch break then continue to pitam deurali. It is about 1100-meter descent walking throw rhododendron and some mixed forest hole time which normally take 5/6 hours.
Day 9

Pitam Deurali to Pokhara
Enjoy your last nice breakfast in the mountain with beautiful scenery of Annapurna range and fishtail then last day Trek from Pitam Deurali to Kade via Australian camp walking throw forest and mountain view and drive back to Pokhara 820-meter. It takes about 4/5 hours in average.
Day 10

Pokhara to Kathmandu
You can have breakfast as program and be ready to back Kathmandu on time as per planned, drive 6-8 hours or fly 25 minutes.
Day 11

Back to home
If your flight time is late afternoon or evening, you can visit some place in Kathmandu your own or if you need help, we can provide guide and vehicle on extra charge. Otherwise, be ready at hotel on time as per your flight details to catch international flight. A Representative from Guide for Nepal Pvt Ltd will arrange transportation and drop you in Tribhuvan international (TIA) airport and good bye for this time wishing safe journey back to home.

Mardi Himal base camp trek is short and easy compare to other treks.
The highest altitude in Mardi Himal trek is 4200 meters.
Normally, 5-7 hours walk every day in trek.
Mostly twin bed room with common toilet, few place is sharing room.
There is no snow all the time.
January to May and October to December is the best time to go Mardi Himal trek.
Mardi Himal base camp is really good for views.

- Eat and drink properly, stay hydrated, read your body and listen AMS alerts while you are in the mountain/trekking.
